About Punjab Institute of Cardiology
The Punjab Institute of Cardiology provides high-quality tertiary care to cardiac patients. PIC trains postgraduate doctors and paramedics and also helps the rest of the heart hospitals in Punjab. In addition, we conduct information campaigns to training initiatives in the field of preventive measures against heart disease.
PlC’s treatment is completely free for poor and eligible patients, while private patients are treated at a much lower cost than the rest of the city’s private hospitals. Emergency services are open 24 hours a day and emergency care is completely free for everyone regardless of social status. The range of facilities available for comprehensive treatment includes a 547-bed hospital, all relevant diagnostic tests, interventional and operative procedures, and intensive care units.
In addition, PIC has a team of highly qualified and experienced cardiologists and surgeons, supported by well-trained nurses and paramedics. Four of our departments are ISO certified and the rest will be completed shortly. The PIC manages a well-known industry journal, the Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases, about certain projects for graduate students.
