ABOUT AIRPORT SECURITY FORCE
The Airport Security Force was established in 1976 under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It was later deployed under the Ministry of Defense in 1983 after the hijacking of a Pakistan International Airlines plane. ASF’s main objective is to maintain law and order in and around all Pakistani airports. ASF is responsible for monitoring Pakistan’s 12 airports. ASF is also responsible for the protection of civil aviation and for the protection of all aircraft and aircraft, both indoors and in the air.
